Breaking Down the Vermont Bucks Opener (AUDIO)

The Vermont Bucks opened up their inaugural season on Friday night with a lopsided win over Connecticut in the Canadian-American Indoor Football League.

It was interesting to see football played at Gutterson Fieldhouse and it was interesting to see ‘The Gut’ turfed out in orange.

Arena football is a different animal in its own right but what was the experience like on Friday night at the opener? We found out from Steve Manney, sports anchor at Local 22/Local 44 news, who was in attendance. We found out what it was like from a football perspective and an entertainment perspective.

We also then found out about why the UVM men’s hockey team was left out of the NCAA Tournament and talked about what the local media does now with a busy winter season nearly over.
